As I mentioned last week, Scissors and Steam is celebrating its 3 month anniversary! Now, 3 months might not seem like a big deal, but for me it really is. It's hard for me to keep up with things like this. I have about a zillion beautiful journals, all with like the first 4 pages filled out, and the rest empty. So, the fact that I've not only kept this blog going but have in fact fallen in love with it and with all of you is a huge deal for me! So, as a thank you I'm giving away this AWESOME CRAFT PACK.
First up is this stack of yarn and a crochet hook! I admit that the yarn is a bit of stash-busting. The yarn is actually from the granny stripe blanket that I'm working on. Every time I finish a stripe, I have about a third of a skein left. So, that's what these are! You'll get a bit of Wool-Ease in: Violet, Gold, Oxford Grey, Avocado, Denim, Rose Heather, and Cranberry. There's more than enough yarn here to make some granny squares or some other small project. And, a 4mm aluminum crochet hook, the same size I use for the granny stripe.
And this is actually my FAVORITE part of the giveaway! I love calligraphy and drawing with bottled inks (there's a little drawing I did using these in this post) so I picked up a Speedball nib holder and two artist's drawing nibs. AND! I bottled up 5 sample inks: Higgins Waterproof in Carmine Red and Black India, Liquitex Pro Acrylic in Blue Shade and Sap Green, and Bombay in Teal. Plus a little pack of assorted Strathmore Artist's Trading Cards!Wow that's a lot of stuff! I think I may have gone a bit overboard. Oh well, more for you! It's a variety, so you can try a bunch of different crafts.
So, how do you win?
- Follow Scissors and Steam! You can do it through GFC, Linky Followers, RSS, Facebook, or Bloglovin', and leave a comment below stating how you followed. This goes for current followers too, just let me know how you follow! (1 entry)

ReplyDeleteI can hardly decide which items I like best from the prize package! I have just started crocheting! so I love that.. but I have to say my fav is the inks and the artist trading cards. I just had a package in my hand today at Michaels and put them back, thinking this trip I couldn't spend the money on those too! lol.. and here they are in the package. :)
ReplyDeleteI follow via google reader!
ReplyDeleteThat yarn! *Swoon*! Such pretty colors. It's a tie between the yarn and the watercolor pencils for my fave part of the giveaway; I'm trying to explore different creative outlets lately and would love to play with the pencils!

ReplyDeleteOk - first repin: the yarn leftovers. I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower! (on Blogger and FB both)
ReplyDeletecallmecirce@gmail.com
Second repin- embroidery hoop and thread! Something I've been trying to get more into.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite is the pens-and-ink part. I'm kind of obsessed with pens, but I suppress it. Most of the time.
ReplyDeletecallmecirce@gmail.com
And finally- printmaking supplies. My favorite, but sometimes expensive hobby.
ReplyDeleteShared! http://the-green-world.blogspot.com/2012/03/scissors-and-steam.html
ReplyDeletecallmecirce@gmail.com
I'm following on Facebook! I love the calligraphy part - maybe it was just because I loved Harry Potter, but when I was younger I was OBSESSED with the idea of calligraphy pens [or 'quills'] & ink bottles, but my parents never got me the right kind of stuff to learn with - so I'd be most excited about that. :]
ReplyDeleteI also repinned several times on Pinterest!
ReplyDeletebbd_angel@yahoo.com
Added to my google reader & pinned it! I've never tried using clay to make beads, so that part would be fun to try. The rest of the kit would not go to waste in my house either! P.S. your dog is adorable in the granny stripe - mine have their own afghans too!

ReplyDeleteOh my, how the heck do I even chose one part of this give away to be my favorite??
ReplyDeleteI think I'd have to choose the ink/artist nibs. Mostly because I've always admired people who can do calligraphy and use ink that isn't already inside of a pen. Yup, those are my reasons.
